GreenTrail Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer to join our growing team in the heart of Austin. You will lead critical projects that safeguard water resources, manage environmental compliance, and deliver sustainable infrastructure for communities and industries.
As part of our engineering practice, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive technical excellence, and mentor early career engineers to scale impact across our portfolio of water, wastewater, and environmental remediation projects.
Responsibility
- Lead environmental assessments and design studies for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
- Develop technically sound, compliant engineering solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements
- Prepare permit applications, Environmental Impact Statements, and aid in regulatory liaison
- Perform risk assessment, contaminant fate and transport analyses, and remediation planning
- Model hydrology and hydraulics using industry standard software and tools
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross functional teams across design and construction
- Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client communications
Qualification
- BS in Environmental Engineering or related field; MS preferred
- 5 or more years of professional environmental engineering experience
- Professional Engineer PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Hands on experience with water or wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and remediation projects
- Proficiency with CAD BIM GIS EPANET HEC RAS and related engineering tools
- Strong communication, report writing, and client management capabilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
