Responsibility
- Lead environmental impact assessments, feasibility studies, and permitting strategies for infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Design and oversee water, wastewater, stormwater, and remediation systems from concept through construction.
- Prepare and manage permit applications (e.g., NPDES, air permits, RCRA) and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform field investigations, sampling plans, data analysis, and reporting.
- Manage project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver compliant, sustainable solutions.
- Develop technical proposals, cost estimates, and construction-phase services.
- Ensure documentation quality and safety standards; contribute to quality control processes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain; 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with water/wastewater treatment, remediation, stormwater, air quality, or hazardous waste management.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance, permit planning, and environmental management systems (EMS).
- Proficient software skills: AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, GIS, Excel; familiarity with modeling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven client management and presentation skills.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed.
