Join Apex Environmental Solutions, a leading environmental engineering firm focused on sustainable infrastructure and responsible resource management. We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead complex projects in the Pacific Northwest.
In this role, you will design and implement environmental remediation, water resources, and compliance strategies for public and private sector clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and deliver high-quality reports that meet regulatory standards.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from concept through delivery, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Design and oversee soil, groundwater, and surface water investigations and remediation strategies.
- Prepare and submit regulatory permits and environmental impact assessments with accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and project success.
- Review and approve technical reports, drawings, and data analyses.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex problems.
- Develop proposals, cost estimates, and project execution plans to win new work.
Qualification
- BS/MS in Environmental Engineering or related field; professional licensure (PE) preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in environmental engineering, remediation, or water resources.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NEPA/SEPA, NPDES, RCRA, OSHA) and permitting processes.
- Proficiency with GIS and CAD software; experience with modeling tools is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills; ability to prepare clear, compelling reports and presentations.
- Proven project management and client-facing skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and budgets.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
