Responsibility
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from scope to delivery, budgets, and timelines.
- Perform environmental impact assessments, risk analyses, and feasibility studies for water resources, permitting, and remediation efforts.
- Prepare and coordinate permit applications (NPDES, SPCC, Stormwater, Air permits) and liaise with regulatory agencies.
- Develop hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources models, as well as wastewater treatment strategies and GIS-based analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (geotechnical, ecology, civil) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and client requirements; lead permit compliance programs.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and contribute to technical proposals and business development.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and client communication; present findings to clients and regulators.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in environmental engineering with emphasis on water resources, permitting, and remediation.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon or the ability to obtain one promptly.
- Proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS), AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and modeling tools (HEC-HMS, EPANET).
- Strong knowledge of EPA and state programs (NPDES, SPCC, Stormwater, Clean Water Act).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and adapt to on-site client needs.
