Join BluePlanet Environmental Engineers, a premium environmental consulting firm focused on sustainable, compliant engineering solutions. We are hiring a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead complex projects in Seattle, WA.
As a core member of our environmental team, you will deliver high-impact environmental planning, design, and compliance services for public and private sector clients. You will guide technical analyses, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and mentor rising engineers while advancing innovative solutions for water resources, remediation, air, and waste programs.
Responsibility
- Lead environmental planning, permitting, and compliance for infrastructure and development projects.
- Design and oversee water resources, stormwater management, and remediation strategies.
- Coordinate CEQA/NEPA analyses and interface with regulatory agencies.
- Conduct field investigations, data collection, and QA/QC of environmental data.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and project documentation.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, budgets, and schedules; mentor junior staff.
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, and client relationships to drive repeat business.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of environmental engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure or remediation projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state; active license preferred.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (CEQA/NEPA, Clean Water Act, RCRA/CERCLA).
- Experience with GIS (ArcGIS), hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, and design software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to travel 10-20% and work in field environments.
