Responsibility
- Lead and manage environmental engineering projects from inception to completion, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for soil, groundwater, and surface water.
- Develop remediation strategies and perform design calculations for treatment systems and containment measures.
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory submissions; present findings to clients and agencies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain thorough project documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage client communications, proposals, and business development activities to grow the practice.
- Support field activities, QA/QC processes, and construction-phase support as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with site assessments (Phase I/II), groundwater modeling, plume delineation, and remediation technologies (soil vapor extraction, pump-and-treat, in-situ chemical oxidation).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and basic data analysis tools; strong technical writing skills.
- Solid knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Water Act) and state of Washington requirements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-management abilities; capable of leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% and to work in a hybrid office/field environment.
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail.
- Certifications such as HAZWOPER or additional related credentials are a plus.
