Responsibility
- Lead and manage water resources projects from scoping through design, permitting, and construction support.
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models and analyze data to support decision-making.
- Prepare and review reports, permit applications, and environmental impact assessments in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to obtain timely approvals.
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate project teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Oversee field investigations, sampling programs, and site assessments as required.
- Support sustainability initiatives and the design of stormwater, wastewater, and water supply systems.
Qualification
- B.S. in Environmental Engineering or related field; M.S. preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in water resources, hydrology, or environmental permitting.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SEPA/NEPA, Clean Water Act, Stormwater programs).
- Proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and GIS software (ArcGIS).
- Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and client-facing skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain in 12 months.
