As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will manage complex projects from conception to permit issuance, coordinate with regulators, and supervise junior engineers. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-impact solutions for municipal, industrial, and private sector clients.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage environmental engineering projects focusing on water resources, stormwater management, site remediation, and pollution prevention.
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments, permitting strategies, and regulatory liaison with EPA, state agencies, and local municipalities.
  • Oversee field investigations, data collection, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and risk assessments.
  • Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates; review supplier/subcontractor proposals.
  • Produce technical reports, permit applications, and QA/QC documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, technicians, and interns; lead project teams to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, health & safety regulations, and corporate ESG standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in environmental engineering, water resources, remediation, or related disciplines.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Strong proficiency in hydraulic/water quality modeling (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM) and GIS software.
  • Demonstrated experience with regulatory permitting, environmental compliance, and technical reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Office; programming experience (Python/R) is a plus.
  • Field experience with sampling, site inspections, and data validation; willingness to travel as needed.
