GreenHorizons Consulting is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in water resources to lead cutting-edge projects for municipalities and industrial clients. Responsibility
- Lead design and project management for water resources, wastewater, and stormwater projects from concept to construction.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling, and data interpretation to inform design decisions.
- Prepare and coordinate regulatory permits, reporting, and compliance strategies with applicable agencies.
- Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, review drawings, specifications, and reports for quality and accuracy.
- Conduct risk assessments, life-cycle cost analyses, and sustainability evaluations to optimize project outcomes.
- Engage with clients, prepare proposals, and support business development efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers, supervise field investigations, and ensure health, safety, and QA/QC standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering; master's preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience delivering water resources or wastewater projects
- Professional Engineer PE licensed in Washington or ability to obtain promptly
- Strong proficiency with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWater)
- Experience with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact assessment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS; proficient technical writing
- Ability to travel up to 20% and work in a hybrid office/environment
