Responsibility

  • Lead design and project management for water resources, wastewater, and stormwater projects from concept to construction.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, modeling, and data interpretation to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare and coordinate regulatory permits, reporting, and compliance strategies with applicable agencies.
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, review drawings, specifications, and reports for quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct risk assessments, life-cycle cost analyses, and sustainability evaluations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Engage with clients, prepare proposals, and support business development efforts.
  • Mentor junior engineers, supervise field investigations, and ensure health, safety, and QA/QC standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering; master's preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience delivering water resources or wastewater projects
  • Professional Engineer PE licensed in Washington or ability to obtain promptly
  • Strong proficiency with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, InfoWater)
  • Experience with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact assessment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS; proficient technical writing
  • Ability to travel up to 20% and work in a hybrid office/environment
