In this role, you will manage complex water resources and wastewater projects from concept through design and permitting, mentor junior staff, collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies, and drive impactful, data-driven decisions.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage water resources, stormwater, and wastewater projects from scoping through design and implementation.
  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, perform data analyses, and translate findings into actionable engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and oversee regulatory permitting and environmental compliance with local, state, and federal agencies (examples include NPDES and TCEQ).
  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including civil, environmental, and geospatial specialists.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers; contribute to business development and client engagement.
  • Contribute to sustainability strategies, resource conservation, and lifecycle analyses.
  • Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules; manage budgets and timelines.
  • Represent the company in client meetings and regulatory hearings with clear communication.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Professional Engineer PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in water resources, wastewater, and environmental design.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (EPA, TCEQ) and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) and GIS tools (ArcGIS).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.
  • Experience with project management, budgets, and proposal development.
