Join Apex Environmental Solutions, a leading environmental engineering firm delivering sustainable, compliant, and innovative infrastructure solutions for urban environments. We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead water resources and wastewater projects, environmental assessments, and regulatory permitting.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in design, modeling, fieldwork, and project management within municipal or industrial settings.
Responsibility
- Lead and manage water resources and wastewater projects from feasibility through construction.
- Prepare and oversee environmental impact assessments and permit applications (e.g., SEPA/NEPA, NPDES).
- Conduct hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, data analysis, and design optimization.
- Develop design criteria, perform risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance and permit adherence.
- Coordinate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders; manage project teams and schedules.
- Mentor junior engineers, support business development, and contribute to proposals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in water resources, wastewater, stormwater, or site remediation.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SEPA/NEPA, Clean Water Act, NPDES).
- Experience with hydrology/hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM), GIS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-facing skills; proven project management ability.
- Ability to travel up to 15% and work in field settings.
