VerdantEdge Environmental Solutions is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead meaningful water resources projects in the Seattle region. Responsibility

  • Lead and manage water resources, wastewater, and stormwater projects from scoping through design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Develop technical deliverables including hydraulic models, piping plans, DBAs, and design calculations.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary teams (civil, geotechnical, ecological) to deliver integrated solutions that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare permit applications and interface with regulatory agencies; manage approvals and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee quality control, risk assessments, and health and safety for project teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in design reviews and professional development.
  • Engage with clients to define scope, schedule, and budget; monitor project performance and deliver on commitments.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in water resources, wastewater, or environmental compliance projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NEPA/SEPA equivalents, Clean Water Act, spill prevention).
  • Proficient in hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, GIS, and design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil 3D, HEC-HMS/RA, StormCAD).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills; proven leadership ability.
  • Experience with project management, scheduling, and budgeting; data-driven decision making.
