Responsibility
- Develop and implement municipal environmental programs aligned with national laws and CSC guidelines.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and standards across municipal operations.
- Coordinate environmental impact assessments and mitigation plans for development projects within Paracale.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and reporting on environmental performance; present findings to local officials.
- Oversee waste management, pollution control, air and water quality initiatives, and climate resilience measures.
- Provide technical guidance and training to staff and partner agencies; build capacity across departments.
- Engage with communities, businesses, and stakeholders to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
- Prepare and respond to audits, inspections, and CSC reporting requirements; ensure timely compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, ecology, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in environmental management, preferably in local government or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine environmental laws and regulations (DENR, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, EIA rules, waste management).
- Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in report writing and presentation; fluent in Filipino and English.
- Proficiency in data analysis, environmental monitoring methods, and GIS is preferred.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Licensed professional or relevant certifications are a plus (if applicable).
