This role leads hands-on experiments, designs and optimizes optical setups, and drives results from bench to publication. You will collaborate with theorists and engineers to translate ambitious ideas into rigorous experiments, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to strategic research programs with impact across quantum information science and precision metrology.

We offer access to state-of-the-art facilities, a collaborative scientific culture, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibility

  • Lead the design, assembly, and alignment of quantum optics experiments and ultrafast photonics setups.
  • Develop robust measurement protocols, data acquisition pipelines, and statistical analysis workflows.
  • Characterize optical components, cryogenic systems, and detectors; ensure high-precision calibrations.
  • Collaborate with theorists and engineers to translate research ideas into testable experiments.
  • Mentor graduate students and postdocs; supervise technicians; manage project timelines.
  • Summarize findings in internal reports and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present results at conferences and contribute to grant proposals.

Qualification
