NovaStyle Fashion is a premium luxury house known for modern, refined silhouettes and sustainable fabrics. We are seeking a Senior Fashion Designer to lead the design direction for our upcoming collections in New York City. The ideal candidate blends artistic vision with product feasibility and has a proven track record of developing cohesive, market-ready lines.
In this role you will shape the collection from concept to prototype, mentor junior designers, and collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, and marketing to ensure every piece aligns with brand strategy and seasonal storytelling.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end design concept development for seasonal collections and maintain a steady pipeline to development teams
- Translate trends into market-ready silhouettes, fabrics, and color palettes while maintaining brand integrity
- Collaborate with Product Development to oversee fit, construction, and specification packages
- Mentor and inspire junior designers, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery
- Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to craft compelling seasonal narratives and presentation boards
- Conduct fittings, evaluate prototypes, and iterate designs based on feedback and technical feasibility
- Represent the brand at design reviews and fashion events when required
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in fashion design at a luxury or premium brand
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-to-prototype development and product storytelling
- Advanced proficiency in CAD tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D/tech pack creation
- Experience with draping, patternmaking, and fabric selection for diverse fabrics
- Exceptional visual language, color theory, and fabric/storytelling sensibilities
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams
