Join Luma Atelier, a premier luxury fashion house based in Milan, as a Senior Fashion Designer. You will shape seasonal collections, drive design concepts, and translate brand vision into premium products.
This role blends creative leadership with hands-on development in a fast-paced studio environment. You will collaborate across design, product development, sourcing, and marketing to deliver compelling and commercially successful styles.
Ideal candidates bring a deep understanding of womenswear and luxury accessories, a standout portfolio, and fluency in English. Italian language skills are a plus.
Responsibility
- Lead the full design cycle from concept to final prototype for womenswear and luxury accessories.
- Develop seasonal trend concepts, color stories, and material palettes aligned with brand strategy.
- Create technical flats, specs, and prototypes; supervise fittings and production handoffs to ensure design intent is realized.
- Collaborate with product development, sourcing, and marketing to ensure on-time delivery and cohesive brand messaging.
- Mentor junior designers, review portfolios, and contribute to a high-performance studio culture.
- Stay ahead of fashion trends through market research, competitive analysis, and attendance at relevant shows.
- Manage the design calendar, color, material selection, and vendor relationships to meet business goals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; 8+ years of experience in luxury fashion.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating womenswear and luxury accessories capabilities.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and 3D or pattern/draping tools.
- Strong technical understanding of garment construction, pattern making, draping, and prototyping.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience leading a design team.
- Fluent English; Italian language skills are a plus; ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and supplier networks; ability to source materials responsibly.
