At Aurelia Atelier, we craft timeless fashion with modern sensibilities. We are seeking a Senior Fashion Designer to lead design initiatives for our luxury ready-to-wear collections in New York City. The ideal candidate combines a strong aesthetic, technical excellence, and collaborative leadership to bring premium garments from concept to production.

As part of the design team, you will shape seasonal direction, translate trends into commercially viable products, and mentor junior designers while collaborating with merchandising, development, and production teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end design process from concept to final production for luxury ready-to-wear collections.
- Collaborate with design, merchandising, and development teams to align on seasonal direction and technical requirements.
- Translate trend forecasts into commercially viable designs with strong market relevance.
- Create technical packs, CADs, flats, and spec sheets; oversee fittings and final adjustments.
- Oversee fabric, trims, and construction details ensuring quality and consistency across styles.
- Partner with sourcing and production teams to optimize lead times, costs, and margins.
- Present concepts and finalize designs to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship and collaboration.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; 5+ years of experience in luxury or premium fashion.
- Strong portfolio showcasing womenswear or ready-to-wear with a refined design sensibility.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D design tools is a plus.
- Solid understanding of pattern making, draping, sewing techniques, and production processes.
- Excellent knowledge of fabrics, trims, and sourcing considerations for premium garments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with luxury brands is preferred.
