Join Lumineux Atelier, a premium fashion studio based in New York City, crafting contemporary luxury collections for discerning clients worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Fashion Designer who blends trend insight with technical excellence to drive product innovation from concept to market-ready garments.
As a member of our design team, you will shape the look and fit of seasonal lines, collaborating with textiles, product development, and production to ensure flawless execution and on-time delivery. You will champion craftsmanship, push sustainable practices, and elevate the brand’s signature aesthetic across categories.
Responsibility
- Lead the design process from concept to final product, ensuring brand consistency and a premium aesthetic.
- Translate seasonal trends into market-ready collections with clear design intent and storyboards.
- Create technical drawings, specs, mood boards, and presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with textile, product development, and production teams to guarantee fabric viability and fit excellence.
- Manage design calendar, deadlines, and approval processes across multiple styles and categories.
- Present concepts to senior leadership and buyers; iterate designs based on feedback and business goals.
- Oversee sample development, ensure color accuracy, material integrity, and quality control across samples.
- Conduct market and trend research to inform future collections and maintain competitive edge.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on design experience in apparel, with a strong portfolio showcasing luxury or premium streetwear aesthetics.
- Proficient in CAD tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D/tech pack software; familiarity with CLO or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and fit across women’s and/or men’s wear.
- Excellent conceptual, sketching, and storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel for fittings and showrooms as needed.
