Nova Atelier invites a Senior Fashion Designer to join our fast growing studio in New York. We create premium womenswear with a modern sensibility and global reach. This role combines creative leadership with hands-on design execution, shaping seasons from concept to manufacture.
As a cornerstone of our design team, you will collaborate with product development, merchandising, and production to craft distinctive, commercially successful collections that elevate the brand.
We seek an innovative designer who thrives in a fast paced environment, embraces trend forecasting and fabric selection, and mentors junior team members.
Responsibility
- Lead the design process from concept to final production for multiple seasonal lines
- Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and production teams
- Develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, and silhouettes in line with brand strategy
- Prepare tech packs, construction details, and fit notes for factories
- Coordinate fittings, review prototypes, and iterate designs for optimal fit
- Forecast trends, source fabrics and trims, and ensure sustainability standards
- Present collections to stakeholders with compelling storytelling and rationale
Qualification
- Bachelor or equivalent in Fashion Design or related field
- 5+ years of fashion design experience in premium or luxury segments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating concept to construction across womenswear
- Proficiency in CAD and design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of 3D design is a plus
- Excellent sketching, draping, and pattern understanding; strong technical skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management
- Experience working with international factories and vendors; fluent in English
