We are seeking a Senior Field Surveyor to lead surveying projects, mentor junior crew, and ensure accuracy and safety on all job sites. As a Senior Field Surveyor, you will manage field operations, oversee data collection, and collaborate with engineers and designers to translate field measurements into precise deliverables. Our team uses modern equipment, including GNSS receivers, robotic total stations, and 3D scanning technology, to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise field surveying operations for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking projects.
  • Plan daily field activities, allocate personnel, and ensure safety adherence on site.
  • Perform accurate data collection using GNSS, total stations, and scanning devices; manage quality control of field notes and sketches.
  • Prepare and review field notes, sketches, and routine reports; ensure timely CAD/GIS deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, and office staff to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Mentor and train junior survey crew to improve skills and efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment, calibrations, and site safety records; ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of field surveying experience; knowledge of Denver metro area is a plus.
  • Professional Surveyor (PS) license or Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) designation preferred; PE a plus.
  • Proficiency with GNSS, robotic total stations, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and GIS software.
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities; capable of mentoring staff.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to perform physical fieldwork in varied conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and quality; familiarity with industry standards (ALTA/NSPS, OSHA, DOT) is a plus.
