Responsibility
- Lead field crews in boundary, topographic, cross-section, and utility surveys using total stations, GNSS, and drones.
- Plan and schedule field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time deliverables.
- Perform data validation, QA/QC, and field note management for CAD/GIS integration.
- Prepare survey plats, legal descriptions, and coordinate with project managers and engineers.
- Mentor junior survey technicians and provide on-site training.
- Maintain equipment, ensure calibration, and track maintenance logs.
- Support as-built and construction stake-out for infrastructure projects.
- Leverage AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools to produce deliverables and support BIM workflows.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain in Florida within 12 months.
- 2+ years of field surveying experience with boundary, topographic, and construction staking.
- Proficiency with total stations, GNSS, data collectors, and office software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS).
- Strong math, data processing, and analytical skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and safety awareness; valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions; willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
