Responsibility
- Lead field survey operations for boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys.
- Plan and coordinate daily field crews, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Ensure field data quality; perform QA/QC of measurements and notes.
- Prepare fieldbooks, data collection records, and stakeout reports.
- Collaborate with civil engineers and designers to translate field data into design models.
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment; calibrate GPS, total stations, and scanners.
- Oversee safety compliance and permit adherence on project sites.
- Mentor junior survey staff and provide on-the-job training.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of field surveying experience in commercial/industrial projects.
- Proficient with GNSS, robotic total stations, levels, and field data collection software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Strong knowledge of surveying standards, ALTA/NSPS, and local codes; ability to interpret construction drawings.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Excellent data QA/QC skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project coordination abilities.
- Willingness to travel to project sites; valid driver's license; OSHA/safety training preferred.
