Responsibility

  • Lead field surveying activities using total stations, GNSS/GPS, levels, and reference marks to collect high-quality data.
  • Perform boundary, topographic, construction staking, and ALTA/NSPS surveys with meticulous attention to legal descriptions and client requirements.
  • Plan crews, schedule fieldwork, manage equipment calibration and maintenance, and enforce safety protocols.
  • Verify and process field data; prepare accurate survey plats, exhibits, and figures for design and permitting.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and GIS specialists to integrate survey data into AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS workflows.
  • Prepare field notes, time sheets, and as-built documentation; ensure timely project closeout and documentation control.
  • Communicate project status with clients and internal teams; present findings clearly and professionally.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Professional Surveyor (PS) license in good standing preferred; if not licensed, ability to pursue licensure within 12–24 months.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of surveying field experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency with total stations, GNSS/GPS, digital levels, and field data collection hardware/software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS).
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to read and interpret plans and legal descriptions.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and a safety-first mindset; able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
