We are seeking a Senior Film Production Manager to guide end-to-end productions—from branded content and commercials to narrative projects. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring every project hits schedule, budget, and creative targets while maintaining the highest production value.
Based in the Los Angeles area, you will collaborate with producers, directors, clients, and department leads to translate concepts into actionable plans. Responsibility
- Lead development and pre-production planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple projects.
- Direct production teams on set, ensuring safety, efficiency, quality, and on-brand storytelling.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and clients to translate concepts into production plans, shot lists, and timelines.
- Oversee vendor relationships, equipment sourcing, location permits, logistics, and safety compliance.
- Monitor project performance against schedules and budgets; implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Oversee post-production handoffs, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to specs for multiple platforms.
- Mentor junior producers and crew; promote best practices, training, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on film/video production experience with leadership on branded content, commercials, or narrative projects.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and resource management skills; proficient with production software (e.g., StudioBinder, MovieMagic, Gorilla, or equivalent).
- Excellent on-set leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities; proven ability to manage diverse teams.
- Experience coordinating multi-location shoots, permits, unions, and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of post-production workflows, color, sound, and final delivery requirements across platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
