Northwoods Forestry Group is seeking a Senior Forestry Project Manager to lead critical timber management and conservation initiatives in the Pacific Northwest. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, Oregon, with opportunities for field collaboration across public and private landowners.

Responsibility
- Lead planning and execution of forestry projects including timber harvest planning, reforestation, and habitat restoration.
- Coordinate with landowners, agencies, and contractors to ensure safe and compliant project delivery.
- Develop workplans, budgets, and schedules; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Oversee field operations including safety training, quality control, and data collection.
- Conduct ecological assessments and GIS-based analysis to support decision-making.
- Prepare permit applications and ensure regulatory compliance under state and federal laws.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and mentor junior foresters.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field; master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional forestry experience; professional forester license or ability to obtain RPF in Oregon within 12 months.
- Strong knowledge of forest management practices, silviculture, and timber harvesting operations.
- Proficient in GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS) and data analysis; ability to translate data into actionable plans.
- Proven project management skills with experience managing budgets and schedules.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities; experience with grant writing and reporting is a plus.
- Ability to travel to field sites and work in varied terrain and weather; commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborative mindset and leadership skills; fluency in English; other languages a plus.
