Responsibility
- Lead technical assessments and feasibility studies for fossil energy projects from concept to commissioning.
- Develop and review process designs, equipment specifications, and safety case documentation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (chemical, mechanical, electrical) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage asset integrity, reliability programs, risk assessments, and KPI-driven improvements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental reporting in accordance with U.S. standards.
- Provide operations support through troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking of facilities.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers; conduct technical reviews and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Lead supplier governance, bidding, and contractor management for major capital projects.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10+ years of direct fossil energy experience (oil & gas, refining, power generation).
- Strong expertise in process design, heat integration, safety disciplines (HAZOP, LOPA), and asset integrity management.
- Proven project management experience with large-capital projects (>$50M) and cross-functional leadership.
- Proficiency in engineering software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, PV Elite) and data analysis tools (SQL, Python).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills; influential in multi-level environments.
- U.S. work authorization; willingness to travel as needed.
