Job description
Harbor PetroTech Solutions is seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to drive technically rigorous and commercially impactful initiatives across upstream, midstream, and power generation assets.
You will influence engineering standards, optimize production and process performance, and mentor junior engineers within a global, multi-site team.
Responsibility
- Lead technical design and optimization of fossil energy assets across oil, gas, and power generation portfolios.
- Develop and validate reservoir, production, and process simulations using industry-standard tools.
- Govern multidisciplinary project teams through FEED, EPC, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Drive HSE compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with operations to implement reliability-centered maintenance and long-term performance enhancements.
- Prepare technical work packages, cost estimates, and risk registers for capital approvals.
- Support environmental stewardship, carbon reduction programs, and regulatory reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 8+ years of fossil energy engineering experience with demonstrable project delivery.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and process simulators; strong data analytics skills.
- Solid knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, API).
- Proven ability to manage complex brownfield and greenfield projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25-30% as needed.
