As a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer, you will apply advanced reservoir engineering methods, collaborate with geoscience, drilling, and production teams, and drive value through data driven decision making and optimized operations.

Responsibility

  • Lead technical evaluation and design for fossil energy projects across exploration, development, and production phases.
  • Develop reservoir descriptions, performance forecasts, and production optimization strategies using state of the art simulation tools.
  • Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, and production teams to de-risk projects and ensure safe, compliant operations.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets; prepare executive reports and dashboards.
  • Evaluate and implement process safety and environmental stewardship measures in all operations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead training on best practices and new technologies.
  • Drive data driven decision making through analytics, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Support regulatory submissions and permit applications as needed.

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in oil and gas reservoir engineering or E&P production optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse, Nexus, or CMG and in data analytics.
  • Experience working with integrated asset teams and cross functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record of delivering value through optimization initiatives with quantified results; excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and process safety management principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities; able to lead and train teams.
  • Authorized to work in the United States; willingness to relocate to Houston if needed.
