Job description

We are a leading energy provider focused on responsible fossil energy development. We are seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to drive technical excellence across exploration, development, and operations in a dynamic oil and gas portfolio. The ideal candidate blends deep engineering expertise with strategic thinking, strong collaboration, and a hands‑on approach to project execution.

In this role, you will work with cross‑functional teams to optimize reservoir performance, assess seismic data and geology models, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. You will influence design choices, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the company’s strategic roadmap in fossil energy.

Responsibility

  • Lead technical design reviews for exploration, development, and production projects in fossil energy assets.
  • Optimize reservoir performance by integrating geology, geophysics, and engineering data and modeling.
  • Develop robust field development plans and capex‑efficient project execution strategies.
  • Perform risk assessments, HSE planning, and ensure regulatory and environmental compliance across asset life cycles.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers; promote best practices and standards across teams.
  • Collaborate with operations and geoscience teams to drive reliability, safety, and cost optimization.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years in fossil energy, oil & gas, or related sectors with proven project leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering, production systems, and drilling and completion methods.
  • Experience with reservoir simulation, data analytics, and relevant software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, Primavera).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE standards and regulatory compliance.
