We are seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to join our Houston-based team and lead high-impact projects across reservoir and processing facilities. In this role, you will apply advanced reservoir engineering, process optimization, and data analytics to optimize asset performance, reduce costs, and support sustainable operations in a fossil energy environment. You will work closely with exploration, production, and operations teams, as well as vendors and contractors, to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in full compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibility
- Lead multi-disciplinary fossil energy projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and optimize reservoir and process simulations to maximize recovery and minimize operating costs.
- Collaborate with exploration, production, and operations to implement field development plans and asset optimization strategies.
- Perform risk assessments, hazard analyses, and environmental impact reviews to inform decision-making.
- Drive data-driven optimization initiatives using analytics, predictive modelling, and continuous improvement practices.
- Mentor and coordinate junior engineers, technicians, and external vendors across project lifecycles.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards, quality management, and regulatory permits in all activities.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; PhD is a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in oil and gas or fossil energy projects, with demonstrated field development or operations expertise.
- Strong expertise in reservoir simulation (static/dynamic models), process optimization, and lifecycle economic analysis.
- Proficiency with modelling and analytics tools (Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, Python, MATLAB) and data-led decision making.
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations, permits, and safety management systems, with a track record of safe project delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills; proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Willingness to travel 25-35% to support field operations and project milestones.
