Responsibility

  • Lead reservoir engineering and production optimization for fossil energy assets using industry-standard tools such as Eclipse, CMG, and Petrel.
  • Develop dynamic reservoir models, perform history matching, and generate credible forecasts to guide development decisions.
  • Quantify reserves in accordance with SPE PRMS and regulatory requirements; prepare asset-level economic evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with geology, drilling, facilities, and EHS teams to optimize field development plans and facilities design.
  • Analyze production data, facility constraints, and commodity prices to maximize asset value and minimize operating costs.
  • Steer CCUS initiatives by evaluating CO2 injection strategies, monitoring plans, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead technical reviews, and present results to executive stakeholders and external partners.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to environmental standards across all projects.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in reservoir engineering within fossil energy environments (oil and gas, CCUS projects).
  • Proficiency with reservoir simulation tools (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and programming in Python/MATLAB.
  • Strong understanding of reserves estimation, probabilistic decline curve analysis, and PRMS guidelines.
  • Experience with asset development planning, production forecasting, and risk analysis; excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CCUS technologies, regulatory requirements, and HSE practices; willingness to travel as needed.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative leader with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and mentor more junior staff.
