Job description
We are seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to join a leading energy company focused on responsible hydrocarbon development, safety, and innovation. You will lead reservoir engineering initiatives, optimize production, and drive multi-disciplinary projects across onshore and offshore assets. As a key member of our engineering team, you will apply advanced reservoir modeling, production optimization, and economic analysis to unlock value across asset portfolios while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir characterization and simulation to optimize production and ultimate recovery.
- Collaborate with drilling, facilities, and performance teams to plan field development and workovers.
- Develop and implement enhanced oil recovery strategies (gas, chemical, and thermal EOR where applicable).
- Perform economic evaluations, risk analyses, and decision support for CAPEX and OPEX projects.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, HSE performance, and adherence to industry standards across assets.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical designs, and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
- Lead cross-functional optimization projects and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in fossil energy reservoir engineering or integrated asset optimization.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation and analytics software (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel, Prosper, etc.).
- Strong understanding of drilling, completion, production operations, and surface facilities.
- Demonstrated project leadership, team collaboration, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of HSE regulations, environmental compliance, and industry standards.
