Responsibility
- Lead the design and execution of fossil energy projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop process simulations, equipment specifications, and reliability analyses using tools such as Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Plus.
- Perform process safety analyses (HAZOP, LOPA) and ensure alignment with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, procurement, and regulatory teams to optimize asset performance and minimize emissions.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and maintenance optimization.
- Support permitting, environmental compliance, and data-driven decision making for capital projects.
Qualification
- Bachelors in Chemical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in fossil energy projects (oil and gas, refining, power generation).
- Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and CAD software; programming skills a plus (Python, MATLAB).
- Strong knowledge of process safety, HSE, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional Engineer PE license is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
