Join a leading energy company focused on responsible development of fossil energy resources. We are seeking a Senior Fossil Energy Engineer to lead complex upstream and downstream projects, drive safety, efficiency, and long-term value for our clients and stakeholders.
\nIn this role, you will own technical design from concept through commissioning, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize performance and compliance across operating assets.
\nYou will influence asset performance by applying industry best practices, guiding technical decisions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end engineering design, analysis, and optimization of fossil energy projects across upstream, midstream, and downstream segments.
- Develop process simulations, performance models, and technical specifications to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, risk, and quality; ensure alignment with HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, reservoir, procurement, and safety teams to drive safe, cost-effective asset performance.
- Lead root cause analyses, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives; implement learnings across assets.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in client engagements and proposals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Energy Engineering (or related field).
- 8+ years of experience in fossil energy, oil & gas, or refinery projects with demonstrated project leadership.
- Proficiency with engineering software and data analytics; familiarity with process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and CAD.
- Strong knowledge of HSE, regulatory compliance, and asset lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel as required (up to 20-30% depending on project needs).
