- Develop and optimize process simulations, PFDs, heat and mass balances, and equipment specs to improve plant performance and reliability.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, control systems) and manage external vendors, EPCs, and consultancies.
- Drive HSE compliance, permit applications, and regulatory reporting in line with DOE, EPA, and local requirements.
- Monitor project performance using earned value management, risk registers, and KPI dashboards; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead commissioning and start-up activities, troubleshoot performance gaps, and ensure smooth handover to operations.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years in fossil energy projects (power generation, refinery, gas processing, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in process simulation (Aspen Plus/HYSYS), PFDs, P&IDs, heat integration, and equipment sizing.
- Experience with HSE standards, permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory audits.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25 percent as needed; relocation support available.
