You will work on projects across sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and geohazards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to produce robust reports, resource assessments, and exploration strategies.

We value initiative, rigorous data quality, and clear communication with stakeholders. This is a hybrid role with field days and office work, offering mentorship opportunities and a clear path to senior leadership.

Responsibility

  • Lead field mapping and site characterization campaigns across Alberta and Western Canada.
  • Develop geological models using GIS and petrophysical data; integrate with hydrogeology and geotechnical considerations.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines; coordinate field crews and subcontractors.
  • Generate high-quality technical reports, maps, and cross-sections; present findings to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure QA/QC of data; maintain data integrity in databases and project workflows.
  • Mentor junior geologists and interns; contribute to business development and proposal writing.
  • Perform risk assessments for geohazards; oversee environmental and permitting considerations.

Qualification

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Geology, Geoscience, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional geology experience in Alberta or Western Canada; field and interpretation expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and hydrogeology; experience with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and 3D modeling tools is a plus.
  • Proven track record of delivering client-ready reports and presentations.
  • Field safety training and compliance with provincial regulations; ability to work in remote field conditions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
