Responsibility
- Lead field-based geological mapping, prospecting, and core logging to characterize rock formations and resources.
- Collect, manage, and interpret geologic data using GIS, rock datasets, and geostatistical tools.
- Design, oversee, and monitor exploration and sampling campaigns; develop quality control plans.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and client presentations; summarize findings for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including hydrogeology, engineering, and environmental specialists.
- Mentor and train junior geologists and interns; promote a safety-first work culture.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting requirements; manage project scope and schedules.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of field geology experience, preferably in mineral exploration or environmental geology.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), mapping, and geospatial analysis; familiarity with geostatistical software.
- Strong core logging, stratigraphic interpretation, and mineralogical understanding.
- Excellent written and oral communication; experience producing technical reports and client briefs.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 30% of time) to field sites.
- Professional Geologist (PG) license or CPG/AIPG certification strongly preferred.
