We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our New York City office and partner with leadership to drive talent acquisition, employee development, and a culture of engagement.

In this role, you will oversee a broad range of HR activities, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compliance. You will work closely with managers and employees to enable a high-performing, compliant, and inclusive workplace.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for mid to senior roles, collaborating with hiring managers to define role requirements and sourcing strategies.
  • Design and implement HR policies and programs that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Manage performance management, learning and development initiatives, and succession planning.
  • Provide proactive employee relations support and counsel managers on escalation, investigations, and remediation when needed.
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, time-to-hire, engagement) and present insights to leadership to inform decisions.
  • Administer benefits programs, payroll coordination, and HRIS data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements in New York and nationwide.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday, BambooHR) and people analytics.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder management skills.
