Job description

HarborPeak Technologies is seeking a results-driven Senior HR Generalist to partner with our growing teams in New York City. This role blends strategic HR leadership with hands-on administration to ensure an exceptional employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. You will collaborate with hiring managers, shape people programs, ensure compliance, and drive workforce planning in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

As a core member of the People Operations team, you will own processes across talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations, and HR analytics. Responsibility

  • Partner with hiring managers and team leaders to implement scalable onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Manage the performance management lifecycle, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs in coordination with Finance and external providers.
  • Lead employee relations cases with a fair, compliant approach, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Drive HRIS data integrity, reporting, and analytics to inform people decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws; maintain accurate records.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning in a fast-growth environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of HR Generalist or equivalent experience in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of New York state and federal employment laws and HR compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Lever, Greenhouse).
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder management skills with a solution-focused mindset.
