NorthStar HR Partners is seeking a results driven Senior HR Generalist to join our New York City team. Responsibility
- Partner with hiring managers to forecast talent needs and lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding
- Provide strategic guidance on performance management, succession planning, and employee development
- Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination in collaboration with Finance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain and update HR policies and procedures
- Lead employee relations efforts, conflict resolution, and engagement initiatives
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, generate reports, and provide analytics to leadership
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and training programs
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a mid-size organization
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of NYC employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication and coaching skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Proficiency with HRIS (Workday, BambooHR or similar) and MS Office
