Job description

We are seeking a strategic, people-first Senior HR Manager to lead all human resources initiatives in the New York area. This role partners with senior leadership to design and execute scalable people strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring compliance and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

As a core member of our People & Culture team, you will drive HR operations, policy development, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to support business goals and employee success.

Responsibility

  • Lead full-cycle HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Partner with executives to design and implement people strategy aligned to business goals and culture development.
  • Build workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and leadership coaching programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance (EEO, OFCCP, FLSA) and maintain robust HR policies and employee handbook updates.
  • Drive employee engagement, DEI initiatives, recognition programs, and cross-functional communications.
  • Manage HR analytics and reporting; oversee HRIS implementation and vendor relationships.
  • Lead change management initiatives, organizational design projects, and multi-location HR initiatives.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist/manager experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment law, compliance, and risk management; proven policy development experience.
  • Experience leading recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with HRIS (Workday or SAP SuccessFactors) and data analytics; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid NYC environment with flexibility for occasional travel.
