Join Axiom People Partners, a premium talent partner, as our Senior HR Manager in Chicago. You will shape the people strategy, drive culture, and partner with executive leadership to unlock organizational performance.

This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role designed for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. You will own and optimize end-to-end human resources programs across talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, and employee relations.

We’re seeking a collaborative, data-driven leader who can translate business goals into people programs, mentor a high-performing HR team, and elevate our employee experience from onboarding through internal mobility.

Responsibility

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for all levels across the organization.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, performance management, and rewards programs.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Design and deliver leadership development, succession planning, and training initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, change management, and org design.
  • Own HRIS, data integrity, reporting, and people analytics to drive decisions.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, high-performance culture and employee experience.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field; SHRM-SCP or HRCI SPHR preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR generalist/people operations experience; at least 3 years in people leadership.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning in a fast-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday, UKG, SuccessFactors) and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution and influencing at all levels; customer- and business-focused.
  • Experience in a scaling startup or mid-market company is a plus.
