PrecisionMotion Manufacturing is seeking a results‑driven Senior Industrial Engineer to lead manufacturing process optimization across our Houston‑area facility. Responsibility
- Lead time studies, work measurement, and process mapping to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Plan and execute Lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize throughput, cycle times, and inventory levels.
- Design and optimize plant layouts, line balancing, and material handling to maximize flow and reduce waste.
- Lead cross‑functional DMAIC/DMEDI projects with clear milestones, deliverables, and ROI calculations.
- Develop standard work, standardized metrics, and visual management to sustain improvements on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to implement equipment changes and improve reliability.
- Mentor shop floor teams on problem‑solving techniques, data analysis, and best practices for continuous improvement.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and performance targets to drive data‑driven decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience in a high‑volume environment.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification; Black Belt preferred.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, SQL) and simulation/layout software (e.g., Arena, SIMUL8, AutoCAD/Plant3D).
- Strong time study, work measurement, line balancing, and plant layout design skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and MES; familiarity with data integration is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management abilities; proven leadership on cross‑functional teams.
