Job description

NorthPeak Infrastructure Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Development Engineer to lead complex infrastructure projects from concept through delivery. This role merges civil engineering, utility planning, and strategic project management to shape resilient urban and regional networks.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end infrastructure development projects from feasibility and design through construction closeout.
  • Develop and review technical designs and performance criteria for utilities, transportation, drainage, and site development.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams, budgets, schedules, risk registers, and procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with public agencies, clients, and contractors to secure permits and approvals; manage stakeholder communications.
  • Oversee BIM/CAD workflows, drawing packages, design reviews, and QA/QC processes.
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, safety, and sustainability requirements; incorporate lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate vendor/consultant engagements.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and pursuit of new projects in the Seattle region.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of infrastructure development experience (public works, utilities, transportation, or large-site development).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington or ability to obtain promptly.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM (Revit), GIS, and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of permitting, environmental, and regulatory processes.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with sustainability, resilience design, and lifecycle cost analysis.
  • Willingness to travel and coordinate across multiple sites as needed.
