Responsibility
- Manage end to end claims adjudication for auto, property, and liability lines with a focus on timely, accurate settlements.
- Review policy language, coverage, and exclusions to determine liability and applicable limits.
- Coordinate with adjusters, brokers, clients, and service partners to gather documentation and evidence.
- Analyze loss data and trends to identify recovery opportunities and potential reserving needs.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies; maintain audit readiness.
- Propose process improvements to reduce cycle times and improve customer satisfaction.
- Mentor junior team members; deliver training on claims best practices and system use.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field; professional insurance designation preferred (CPCU, AU, CPCU).
- 3+ years of claims handling experience in property and casualty or auto lines.
- Strong understanding of policy language, coverage forms, and regulatory requirements in New York.
- Analytical mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Customer-centric approach with a track record of resolving complex or high-value claims.
