In this role, you’ll blend market insight with data-driven analysis to craft compelling product features, pricing, and go-to-market plans. You’ll work across product, technology, and distribution to deliver differentiated customer value while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibility
- Lead the development and oversight of insurance products for personal and commercial lines across pricing, features, and coverage.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, IT, and distribution teams to define product specs and pricing strategies.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Own the product backlog, write detailed business requirements, and translate into actionable user stories and API specs.
- Define KPIs, monitor performance, and drive data-driven decision making with dashboards and reports.
- Develop training materials and enablement programs for sales, brokers, and customer support teams.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, policy documentation quality, and fair customer outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional programs and stakeholder communications to deliver on ambitious roadmaps.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in insurance product management, underwriting, or analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Hands-on experience with pricing, rating, and product development for personal and/or commercial lines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven cross-functional leadership.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the insurance industry.
- Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements and user stories.
- Professional certifications such as CPCU, AIC, or FSA are a plus.
