Responsibility
- Analyze, evaluate, and underwrite complex commercial insurance risks for new and existing business.
- Work collaboratively with brokers and clients to assess needs, provide expert guidance, and ensure competitive, profitable offerings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to advise on product innovation and market opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, actuarial, and claims teams to drive business growth and service excellence.
- Mentor and train junior underwriters and support team members through knowledge sharing and coaching.
- Prepare accurate reports, risk assessments, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead or contribute to special projects focused on process improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Insurance, or related field.
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience (multi-line preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPCU or CIC highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of risk assessment and pricing methodologies.
- Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy, proficient in policy administration and CRM platforms.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
