Join Asteria Design Studio, a premium interior design firm specializing in luxury residential and commercial projects across New York. We are seeking a results-driven Senior Interior Designer to lead design development from concept through construction.
As a key member of our design team, you will collaborate with clients, architects, and vendors to create timeless, functional, and highly detailed spaces that elevate everyday life.
What you’ll do:
- Lead design development from concept through construction documentation for high-end residential and corporate projects.
- Develop schematic layouts, material boards, color palettes, lighting schemes, and FF&E selections.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Present design concepts to clients and manage feedback with a professional, client-focused approach.
- Oversee documentation, specifications, and procurement for furnishings, finishes, and fixtures.
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to studio-wide best practices.

Responsibility
- Develop and communicate design concepts that align with client goals and brand standards.
- Create and refine detailed drawings, 3D renderings, and presentation boards for client approvals.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure feasibility and coordination.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
- Oversee FF&E selection, finishes, lighting, and material specifications.
- Conduct site visits, oversee installation, and ensure quality control.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to studio processes and standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture; LEED or WELL accreditation a plus.
- 5+ years of interior design experience with high-end residential or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong knowledge of space planning, building codes, materials, and FF&E selection.
- Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced studio.
