Lumina Studio Interiors is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead luxury residential and boutique commercial projects in the heart of New York City. Responsibility

  • Lead the full interior design process from concept to construction documentation for luxury residential and commercial projects in NYC.
  • Develop design concepts, space planning, materials, color palettes, and finishes that align with client goals and brand standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients; present designs and refine based on feedback.
  • Create detailed drawings, 3D renderings, mood boards, and BIM-ready documents to communicate design intent.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and on-site coordination with contractors and fabricators.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainable design practices.
  • Mentor junior designers, manage workloads, and contribute to design studio processes and best practices.
  • Source distinctive materials, furniture, and lighting; cultivate relationships with high-end vendors.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience, with a portfolio showcasing luxury residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Photoshop; strong rendering and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, textiles, lighting, and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent client management, communication, and leadership abilities; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
