Job description

NovaEdge Interiors, a premier NYC studio blending luxury and function, seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead concept development and project execution.

In this role you will collaborate with clients, architects, and vendors to deliver transformational spaces for residential and commercial clients.

Responsibility

  • Collaborate with clients to translate their vision into cohesive design concepts and spatial planning.
  • Lead design development, create mood boards, material palettes, renderings, and detailing.
  • Produce construction documentation, floor plans, elevations, and finish schedules.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets; coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Present proposals to clients and stakeholders; lead design presentations with confidence.
  • Oversee junior designers, provide mentorship, and review deliverables for accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and safety regulations across projects.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field; 5+ years of professional experience in interior design, preferably in luxury residential and/or commercial spaces.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating range of projects, materials, and storytelling through design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Photoshop, InDesign; experience with Rhino is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to convey concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of building codes, accessibility guidelines, and permitting processes; familiarity with NYC regulations is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and manage project budgets; vendor negotiation and coordination skills.
  • NCIDQ certification is preferred or in-progress; licensure or credentials are a plus.
